Thermage FLX

The Thermage procedure is a FDA-approved, non-invasive radiofrequency treatment designed to tighten skin, smooths wrinkles, firm facial, body contours and produces serious, long-lasting results in just one treatment.

How does it work?

The Thermage system employes a sophisticated treatment tip called Thermatip™, which delivers a controlled amount of RF energy. With touching to the skin, the Thermatip device uniformly heats a large volume of collagen in the deeper layers of the skin and its underlying tissue while simultaneously protecting the outer layer of the skin with cooling. This deep uniform heating action causes the loose and disorganized collagen structures in your skin to immediately tighten. Over time, new and remodeled collagen is produced to further tighten skin, resulting in healthier, smoother skin and a more youthful appearance.

Thermage is effective on:

The Eyes – hooding, fine lines and even our brow line can make us look worn-down. Thermage treats the upper and lower eyelids to help you look more youthful and rested.

The Face – as we age, phrases like “turkey neck”, loose jowls, sagging skin and “what happened to my jawline?” creep in. Thermage smooths lines and wrinkles and remodels collagen for the overall health of the skin.

The Body – aging doesn’t just affect the skin on our faces, our bodies see the effects too, with crepey, sagging skin and unwanted bulges and dimples. Thermage is a non-invasive way to smooth the skin on our bodies and even temporarily improve the appearance of cellulite.

For most patients, measurable results appear gradually in the two to six months following a single treatment session and can last for 1-2 years depending on your skin condition and aging process.

The Thermage® FLX system incorporates vibration on the face and body treatments, which has been shown to help aid in patient comfort.

You’ll feel a brief heating sensation when the treatment device’s tip touches your skin, followed by a cooling sensation to help protect your skin and minimize any discomfort.

Some patients have temporary redness or minor swelling after treatment, but this usually goes away within 24 hours.
